City-wide Garage Sale—Twice a year the Devil’s Sinkhole Society holds a fund raising City-wide Garage Sale. The next one will be held May 9 and 10, 2008, at the “old Bluebonnet Building” (on Sweeten Street across from the Courthouse). Hours 8 am to 3pm. People from the Rocksprings area donate items. For those who are not familiar with the area, Rocksprings is county seat of Edwards county (more than twice the size of Rhode Island—2,120 square miles vs. 1,045 square miles. Rhode Island has 200 people/ sq. mi. and Edwards County has only one/sq. mi.). Therefore we collect quite an array of items. Any items not sold during the sale are donated to the Medina Children’s Home.
Bake sale—The next one is scheduled for October 31and November 1, 2008. |
